A quick google search for the term “AMSOIL Retailer” gives a search result of #1 AMSOIL Locator, #2 AMSOIL Online Store and #3 Become An AMSOIL Retail Account. By using the correct terminology, a business owner can then apply to sell or install AMSOIL products at their local business. AMSOIL Retailer/Installer accounts are a factory direct wholesale account. There is no yearly fee to become an AMSOIL Retailer and each account can earn perks like the ability to get discounted pricing based on yearly volume and earn AMSOIL Merchandising Co-op to purchase advertising products like signs, banners, stands, clothing and stickers. AMSOIL Retailers / Installers are also eligible to be listed on the the AMSOIL Locator and show up on search engines for those looking for AMSOIL products in their local areas. AMSOIL Installers can earn a Premier Installer Listing based on yearly volume.
Can Business Owners also become Independent AMSOIL Dealers?
Yes, anyone can choose to become an Independent AMSOIL Dealer. If a business owner has the desire to build a secondary income as an AMSOIL dealer, as well as be able to purchase AMSOIL products at wholesale prices, and earn commissions on their own purchases they may do so. Bear in mind, while there are no requirements besides paying the yearly fee to become an AMSOIL Dealer, business owners should consider the amount of time and effort they would like to put into their AMSOIL Business. Many times, business owners are so busy running their business they don’t have the time to devote to also building an AMSOIL business. Can a Business Owner be a Retailer and an AMSOIL Dealer?
Yes, a business owner can have a Retailer account as well as be an AMSOIL Dealer. The current rules in the AMSOIL Marketing Plan state that if a business owner would like a retail account, that retail account must be with their sponsoring dealer. An AMSOIL Dealer cannot be the servicing dealer of their own business; this violates the G4000 AMSOIL Policies and Procedures. In the case of a person who owns a business and would like to purchase AMSOIL through the business, the sponsoring dealer must be the servicing dealer. In most cases it makes more sense for the Business Owner who is also an Independent dealer to purchase the products for the business. That will allow the dealer to get products at wholesale cost as well as earn commissions on the orders.
Note: AMSOIL Dealers that also own retail businesses can have their business listed on the AMSOIL locator by filling out a form in their back office. The business must operate with normal business hours and not be located at their residence unless it is a mobile business or has a separate building on the property with business signage. Businesses with a local Tax Exemption certificate can also include that on their dealership to avoid paying double sales tax (AMSOIL pays local sales taxes for you otherwise. )
Unwinding the AMSOIL Confusion
AMSOIL Dealers are Independent 1099 contractors authorized to sell AMSOIL, earn commissions, register customers and accounts and build a business. Business owners who wish to sell AMSOIL products out of their store or shop should consider becoming an AMSOIL Retailer/Installer. Retailers can register their business with a factory direct account at no charge which allows them to purchase products at wholesale, sell retail or install the products.
