How to Maintain Your AMSOIL Buy Local Listings
AMSOIL Dealers that are using the AMSOIL Buy Local Directory should periodically look over their listings. Have your current active Retail Account list pulled up in the dealers zone. Log into your dealers zone, then click on Reports, scroll down to your active personal customers and click on RA. (RA stands for Retail Account, and includes all your retail and installer accounts) https://my.amsoil.com/dealer/reports/activepersonalcustomers/ra/
Once you have that open, be sure you have your list sorted by the last 12 month sales. This will show your best accounts at the top. Be sure those listings are included and up to date. Next you will want to be sure that your newer accounts that are just getting started with us to be listed. Show them how you are helping them sell more AMSOIL. Some times retailers/installers may be out of business. Check to make those accounts are removed from being listed. It can be frustrating for a customer to try calling and they are out of business.
Next look at each individual listing. Are there any updates? What about new logo’s or photos of the shop you could include?
Look at the wording of each listing. Over time updating descriptions to flow better or have better keywords can help the listing get found. Have you considered trying to have AI generate a listing for you? We did this recently and really enjoyed how well it looked. Refer to the How to write a good Retailer Installer Directory Listing training module for some good wording for lists. It’s always good to have the Keywords of the City and State and AMSOIL close together. If you can rewrite your listings sometimes they get better traffic.
Are the addresses for your listings correct? Some businesses change location, be sure that is up to date
Have they added any new social media? If you can find your businesses on Facebook or Instagram feel free to add that information.
